Following some comments regarding the area by Boulton Grange extending towards Bryony Rise which has been brought to the attention of the Parish Council, we have now been informed that Boulton Grange along with the grassed area opposite The International Centre by Deercote, will have relaxed mowing over the summer periods. This is to improve biodiversity, however, a border/frame will continue to be mown for pathway protection and for aesthetics. Some funding for wildflower seeding had been secured for both sites, which is now taking place.
Across the Borough many sites have been selected for similar action – this is all part of the Borough’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions from excess mowing and will form part of Telford and Wrekin’s biodiversity targets for sustainability.
